A Ceremoney was held yesterday in honour of 11 outstanding graduates and students who are members of the Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind Institute, Sanad.
Sixteen teachers and staff members from various government schools were also honoured for their support to the institute and teaching blind students.
The event, held under the patronage of Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi, was attended by Private and Continued Education assistant under-secretary Wedad Radhi Al Mousawi and institute director professor Abdul Wahid Al Khayyat.
"We thank the ministry, which has always supported our institute, since its establishment in 1974," said Mr Al Khayyat. "Teachers and staff members must also be commended for taking care of the students."
